• Exfoliate your skin (avoid oily products within 24hrs of your appointment
• Shave and/or wax before your appointment (24 hrs prior recommended)

Shower after 2, 4 or 6 hrs based on recommendation from our spray tan technicians. Tan continues to develop up to 12-24hrs post rinse.

What to expect...

When you leave you will look extra golden brown due to cosmetic bronzer in the solution. Rinse after 2, 4 or 6hrs and the cosmetic bronzer will wash away. You will look less tan, but over the next several hours the tan will continue to develop. It takes up to a 12hrs for the tan to fully develop so don’t be concerned right after you rinse if it looks too light. 

How does it work?

Early rinse or rapid tans work by decreasing the amount of time you need to leave the solution on your skin. With this solution the ingredients are specifically formulated to create a faster release of DHA. Rapid tans provide the same outcome as expected from a traditional tan, but with the added convenience of being able to be rinse off hours earlier. No more waiting 10-12hrs!

Our  solution is top of the line with high quality DHA.  It's made w/  organic ingredients, paraben free, never been tested on animals and is  made in the USA.  Airbrush  tanning solutions use an ingredient called dihydroxyacetone, commonly  referred to as DHA.  DHA is a simple sugar/carbohydrate solution and has  been FDA approved since 1977 as a cosmetic ingredient.  It activates on  the top layer of your skin cells. 

This  is the biggest fear of most potential clients.  At Rainglow we  customize each color to each skin type so that your tan won’t look  orange or unnatural.  The DHA (active ingredient) in the solution we  use is the highest quality.  The smell is mild and you won’t feel super  sticky.

You will be booked for a 30 minute appointment, but the actual tan takes 15-20 minutes.  

The  solution is washable, but may rub off on your clothes and sheets before  your first shower.  It should wash out, but nylon, silk, linen, wool  and polyester fabrics may hold on to color.  Sleep in a long sleeve  shirt/long pants or lay a towel over your sheets if you sleep in your  tan while it's still activating.  Try finishing powder add on to cut down on solution rub off or consider the rapid rinse solution.

No.  Airbrush tanning does not provide SPF protection.  You must still wear sunscreen daily.

Absolutely!   At Rainglow each color is customized to each skin type and personal  preference.  If this will be your first airbrush tanning experience, a  lighter shade is suggested for the first session.

Yes.

Airbrush tanning is when the tanning solution is sprayed on by a person and  spray tanning is when it's applied by a machine.  Airbrush tan, while  more expensive, does provide a more natural looking tan.  At Rainglow we  customize the color to your skin tone and personal preferences.
