Brow Lamination & Tint

What is a brow lamination?

Brow lamination is a cosmetic treatment designed to give your eyebrows a fuller, more defined look by making the hairs appear more uniform and set in place. It’s often called a "brow perm" because the process involves applying a chemical solution to straighten and shape the brow hairs. The result is smooth, sleek, and fuller-looking brows with the hairs lying flat in the desired direction. Not to be confused with microblading which is a tattooing method.

Eyelash extension care tips

  1. Cleansing: The brows are thoroughly cleaned to remove any oils or makeup.
  2. Brow mapping/shaping: The foundational step that determines the desired shape.
  3. Lifting solution: A chemical solution is applied to break down the bonds of the brow hairs, allowing them to be reshaped.
  4. Setting solution: A second solution is applied to set the hairs in their new shape.
  5. Tinting: Uses a semi-permanent dye to darken and define the hair.
  6. Finishing: Often, a nourishing oil or cream is applied to keep the brows hydrated and healthy.

FAQs

How long is the appointment and how long will the lamination last?

The appointment will be around 75 mins and the results will last  up to 6 weeks with proper care.

How do I prepare for the appointment?

  • Arrive with clean brows free of makeup, lotions, or oils.
  • Avoid applying heavy products like brow serums or oils for at least 24 hours before the appointment.
  • Don’t wax, tweeze, or thread your brows within 48 hours of the appointment. This helps prevent irritation since brow lamination involves chemicals.
  • Avoid using exfoliating products like retinol, AHAs, or BHAs around your brows for a 3-7 days before the appointment to reduce sensitivity.
  • Make sure it’s been 6-8wks since your last brow lamination

How do I care for my brows after?

  • Avoid using exfoliating products like retinol, AHAs, or BHAs around your brows for a 3-7 days before the appointment to reduce sensitivity.
  • Make sure it’s been 6-8wks since your last brow lamination
  • After the treatment, try not to wet your brows for at least one day. This gives the product time to fully set and locks the shape in place.
  • Try not to touch or rub your brows too much, especially within the first 24 hours. The more you handle them, the more likely they are to lose their shape.
  • Brow hairs can get a bit dry after lamination, so applying a nourishing oil or serum (like castor oil, argan oil, or a brow-specific product) is a good idea. You can do this daily, but try to avoid heavy moisturizers or creams near your brow area.
  • Use the provided spoolie to gently brush your brows into place each morning. This will help maintain the shape and keep them looking neat.
  • Try not to use exfoliants, acids, or retinols near your brows, as these can break down the treatment quicker and cause the brow hairs to lose their shape.
  • For the first few days, avoid steam rooms, saunas, or hot showers to prevent the lamination from loosening.
  • Brow lamination isn’t permanent. To keep that full, fluffy look, you’ll need to get it redone every 6 to 8 weeks or as recommended by your brow specialist.
